When hunger strikes, it’s nice to satisfy that craving by eating a delicious meal right away! Crave Healthiness offers pre-assembled meals that are ready when you are. All you need to do is pop them into the microwave for 1-3 minutes and bam, food’s ready!
They cover breakfast, snacks, entrees, and dessert. Complete with the option to order three different serving sizes – small, medium, and large.
Crave Healthiness offers two types of pre-made meal options:
Both are ideal for those who want to live that ‘meal prep’ lifestyle but don’t have the time to actually meal prep. Their customized meal builder meals are ideal for those monitoring their macros or working with a nutritionist or trainer.
Each meal is complete with an ingredient list and calorie count — including total fat, carbohydrates, and protein — which was great for portion control!

Quality / Taste
I was pleasantly surprised by the flavour of the Crave Healthiness dishes. Meat servings were generous and seasoned very nicely. Lunch and dinner meals were easily enjoyed and truly exceeded my expectations! However, the meals from the rotating menu were heavier on the meat and starch, while veggies and fruits were lacking. I found some of the breakfast items fairly bland as well.
Variety of Meals and Plans
Crave Healthiness offers a weekly rotating menu; however, you will find some of their more popular items there week-to-week. They offer keto, vegetarian, and vegan meals but there is no filter option on the menu for easy identification or ordering.
The custom builder really is a unique tool and provides plenty of options for proteins, carbohydrates, veggies, and sauces, with the option of skipping certain groups. The items available in the custom builder are based on the weekly rotating menu. For example, one week zoodles will be available in the builder but may not be available the following week.
Another cool offering from Crave Healthiness is the add-on items available for purchase just before checkout. This includes things like rubs, sauces, and juice cleanse kits.
Orders can be made à la carte or customers can sign up for weekly subscriptions.
They offer a similar referral program to many meal companies: If you refer a friend who registers, you both receive a $50 credit after their first purchase.
Delivery / Service Level
Crave Healthiness delivers to Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody between 10am-7pm on Sundays.
Sundays are a great day to receive food so you have it ready for the week ahead! This day of the week can be tricky if you’re out of town for the weekend, but they deliver in a reusable cooler bag that can be left out for two hours.
I received a text around noon on Sunday to let me know my delivery was en route. About an hour later, I got another text that said my food had been delivered.
Delivery is a flat fee of $3 and the reusable bag has a refundable fee of $6. Crave Healthiness unfortunately does not deliver to Richmond, Surrey, Maple Ridge, or Pitt Meadows… yet.
Customer Service
The Crave Healthiness website includes a contact form, phone number, and email address. The site does not feature the very common chat function, but their contact form inquiries are answered quickly and thoroughly. Additionally, they offer a really unique, complimentary 15-minute intro call. You can book a time on their site and receive a $30 credit towards your order just for booking.
Making changes to your meals after ordering is difficult and may result in a fee, so be sure to review your order twice before sending it in!
You can add allergies, dislikes, and dietary preferences (e.g. low carb, vegetarian, etc.) to your profile. I believe this information would be used when using the custom meal builder, as the rotating menu is not customizable.
Crave Healthiness subscribers are able to use these preference settings to ensure they never receive meals that do not fit their needs if, for example, they forget to select specific meals before the weekly deadline. In cases like this, the system uses the dietary preferences in their profile, along with their order history to choose the best possible meal package for them, instead of sending them totally random dishes.
Sustainability
Crave Healthiness meal containers are recyclable or reusable and they offer a bag reuse program for their delivery cooler bags. They’ll even take delivery bags back if they’re damaged and still refund you the deposit!
As for the food, their grains, legumes, majority of the starches, greens, spinach, broccoli, carrots, green beans, and herbs and spices are organic. You can expect the same with their meat. Crave Healthiness uses organic chicken breast, grass-fed beef, and wild seafood.
Value for Price
The meals as a whole were very filling and I did not find myself reaching for snacks between meals. A large serving was just under the amount you’d need to fill two adults. Between that and the small servings of vegetables, I’d recommend making a salad or healthy side dish to supplement. Alternatively, you could add some extra veggies to the meals themselves. For example, I added cherry tomatoes and extra shredded carrot to their Beef Taco Burrito Bowl. It was delicious and felt much more balanced.
Average pricing per meal size (including breakfasts and snacks):
- Small: $12.80
- Medium: $14
- Large: $15.30
Pro tip: Check to see the price of a small vs. a medium dish – sometimes they are the same!
Conclusion: Is Crave Happiness Worth It?
Crave Healthiness serves up some incredible, rich, and filling meals. The delicious flavours made them easy to reach for all week. What their pre-made meals lacked in veggies, they made up for in flavour! The food truly tastes gourmet and the convenience is undeniable.
Crave Healthiness meals would be best for lunches and the occasional dinner on evenings you are pressed for time or feel uninspired to cook. If you’re minding your macros, the custom meal builder might be the perfect choice for all your meals.
Overall, for the flavour and the convenience, I would say the value is worth the price and encourage Vancouver-readers to check out Crave Healthiness and see if it could be the right fit for them.
